Singing/Songwriting (Hybrid)
Class Description
This course is designed for high schoolers who may be approaching singing for the first time or who want to learn proper technique when singing or speaking. Students will explore the music that participants have already written and/or songs that we already love! They will learn:
- Microphone etiquette
- Stage presence and confidence
- How to engage an audience
- Interview techniques, focusing on introducing themselves and talking about their craft
- Basic music theory
HYBRID STRUCTURE
Students will work virtually one-on-one with instructors and in group settings. During the first week, participants will discuss the opportunity to meet in-person on some days.
TECHNOLOGY REQUIREMENTS
Students will need a laptop or tablet with Zoom app downloaded and a device with microphone and video camera that can record such as a cell phone.
