IDK Gouache Painting
Workshop Description
Join artist Tom Thoune and explore the versatile use of Gouache paint. Gouache, often called opaque watercolor, is a favorite for illustrators and designers. It is a water-based paint that can be used without chemicals and creates matte, flat colors. In this workshop, participants will explore how to decide on and mix interesting color palettes and create imagery through layering opaque colors. Each participant will create an artwork based around a single object or portrait and will leave with confidence in working with gouache in future works. All supplies are included, but please bring a printed image if you have a specific person or object you’d like to reference.
