Class Description

New Student Inquiry Form

Our faculty have diverse and successful performing and educational careers across the United States and internationally. You will also find our instructors actively teaching at area universities and schools and playing with local orchestras such as the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Union Symphony, and North Carolina Symphony. We are proud to have had many of our strings students over the years participate in exceptional orchestras such as the Charlotte Symphony Youth Orchestra, Youth Orchestras of Charlotte, and the North Carolina Regional and All-State Honors Orchestras, among others.

We are proud to teach adults as well as youth. It’s never too late to learn a new skill, and students as young as three years old can start learning their string instrument. Contact us to see if Arts+ is the right fit for you.

Suzuki@Arts+

Get the most out of learning a string instrument by becoming a member of Suzuki@Arts+. Students as young as three years old through high school seniors learn and grow through a combination of private lessons, group classes, family engagement, workshops, and community support. Students in the Suzuki program benefit from one-on-one instruction in a private lesson setting and a group class alongside their peers each week. You can learn all about the Suzuki@Arts+ program here.

Additional Strings Opportunities

Read more about our special Suzuki@Arts+ program, including the benefits of membership here.

Our Discovering Strings classes and Discovering Strings Summer Camps are great chances for young children to try out violin or cello and see if it’s something they love before committing to a full semester of lessons.

Arts+ also offers our Chamber Strings ensemble for middle and high school students to take their playing to the next level by learning to play independently and in a small chamber setting.

The Arts+ String Orchestra Camp is an incredible way for students Grades 2-12 to grow as musicians over the summer while also having a lot of fun.
