These are the perfect classes for neurodivergent students to explore music and art! Neuro Music Lab 60-minute sessions provide a joyful introduction to many aspects of music-making, including singing, classroom instruments, movement, and rhythm games. Students will explore different musical styles while learning to express themselves through sound and motion. This class encourages creativity, listening, and collaboration. Come discover music in community with other neurodivergent explorers! 

Neuro Art Lab 60-minute sessions provide a joyful introduction to many elements of art. Students will explore different artistic styles and materials while learning to express themselves through different mediums. This class encourages creativity, listening, and collaboration. Come discover art in community with other neurodivergent explorers!

PREREQUISITES  

None!  

SENSORY CONSIDERATIONS

Music Lab on April 19: This date will have some activities that are naturally a little louder. If your student has sound sensitivities, we will have extra headphones available.

Music Lab on May 9: This workshop will be sensory friendly with softer volume levels if your student has sound sensitivities. We will also have extra headphones available.

Art Labs on April 26 and May 30: If your student has texture sensitivities, we will have nitrile gloves available. Please be aware that workshops may be messy; aprons will be provided. Adaptive art-making tools will be provided.

INSTRUMENTS  

Arts+ instruments are provided for use during this class but may not be taken home.
