Bri Gardner

Bri Gardner (they/she) is a professional multi-disciplinary artist, and a published poet and essayist. They have been a teaching artist in non-traditional spaces for over ten years, serving folks across a range of ages and abilities.

Their primary mediums include printmaking, watercolor painting, collage, ceremony and installation. Her practice is informed by personal relationships with land, time, living waterways, and ancestral memory.

Bri graduated with an BA in Sociology from UNC Asheville. This foundation centers their focus as a teaching artist on ethics of liberation, art as justice work and creativity as a practice of connection and community building.

Bri emphasizes joy and accessibility in the classroom. She holds that process-based exploration creates the most interesting and meaningful artwork, and that radical self-expression is a healing act.
