Join local artist, Sharon Dowell, and create abstract paintings that portray a sense of home. Taken from her own methods for her mural and smaller scale works, participants will be guided through how to use color, form, and pattern to portray the energy of a place. The 'house' icon brings so many associations with home, sanctuary, place, and self, and this workshop will explore those concepts and celebrate the home. Participants will leave with a new perspective on how to experience places, techniques for creating vibrant works, and a finished house portrait.
