Class Description
Ever look at abstract paintings and think, what makes this successful? In this 6-week intermediate class, design choices and material use that make work successful will be explored. This class will go into more definition of line work, mark making, concepts, and balance within a composition. Participants will utilize printmaking, stencils, and a variety of surfaces and mark making tools to create exciting, abstracted works. We will get messy while remembering to keep the basic elements and principles of design in the back of our minds. This class is intended for those with a basic understanding of color theory and comfort working with acrylic paint.
