Middle school is the perfect time to start learning the ukulele! No experience is required for our Middle School 1.0 classes.

If it is your ABSOLUTE first time playing, plan to arrive about 15 minutes early.

Absolutely zero experience is required, but experienced players and friends are welcome to join, too! Each week we’ll be learning favorite songs by well-known musicians and have fun jamming out together. We'll teach the basics of how to produce a great sound, some fundamental strumming patterns, and the first few starter chords. By the end of the class, students will be able to read basic chord charts, play a few songs, and be set up for future success in learning to play the ukulele!

Students with some beginning or intermediate experience can also take this class, and we will tailor their music to their level. For advancing players, we do recommend private lessons instead.

If you do not have your own, Arts+ instruments are provided for use during this class but may not be taken home. Please contact us if you would like information on where to rent your own instrument.
