Introduce your child to a lifelong love of music and visual art with this fun-filled day camp for your youngest creatives.

Our Discovering Music and Art Camp is a great way to introduce your elementary student to all that music and visual art have to offer. Ignite their creativity and strengthen academic skills with a wide variety of fun activities including singing, percussion, painting, collage, and collaborative 3D projects. This camp is designed for children in rising grades K-5, but campers are grouped by age level, allowing for different projects, activities, and curricular goals. Each day we will enjoy open recreation time with games and integrative S.T.E.A.M. activities, ensuring your budding artist will experience all the advantages that the arts have to offer. Families can share in the fun at the Camp Showcase, held on the final afternoon of each session.

All are welcome, and there's no experience necessary to join in on the fun! This camp experience will start kids off on a creative journey in music and art that will last a lifetime.

PREREQUISITES

• Students should be bathroom independent.
• Students must be at a minimum rising Kindergarten. We are not able to accommodate students headed into Pre-K for the coming school year.

CAN WE REPEAT CAMPS?

Yes! Each week of our Discovering Music and Art Camp is different, with new activities, songs, and art creations. Campers are welcome to join us on separate weeks and discover even more music and art!

END OF CAMP SHOWCASE

The students will showcase what they have learned and created this week in a mini-concert and gallery show at 3 p.m. on the last day of camp.

FINANCIAL AID

• Limited financial aid is available to qualifying families, processed on a first-come, first-served basis.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP

• Drop off begins at 8:30 a.m.
• Monday Drop-Off and Registration need to have a parent/guardian come inside to fully check campers in. Friday Pick-Up will be after the student showcase, inside.
• Arts+ Community Campus (2304 The Plaza): Other than Registration and Friday’s showcase, drop-off and pick-up will utilize the carpool lane in the parking lot. Please follow directional signs to form the carpool line.
• Park Road Baptist Church (3900 Park Rd): Due to our location of camp on the campus, parents/guardians should park and walk to the Youth Building for drop-off and pick-up each day. We apologize for any inconvenience.
• Harrisburg Presbyterian Church (4815 NC-49, Harrisburg, NC): Other than Registration and Friday's showcase, drop-off and pick-up will utilize a carpool line which will enter off of Robinson Church Rd., behind the main church building, and exit onto Oakley Dr.

LUNCH, SNACKS, AND WATER BOTTLES

• Campers should bring their own lunch and a water bottle to camp.
• Snacks and snack breaks will be provided during the daytime.
• Our snacks include gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegan options.
• Campers may also bring their own snacks, but please do not bring ANY food products with peanuts.
