Special Topics in Drawing: Mixed Media
Class Description
In this 3‑week class, students will experiment with both dry and wet media, exploring how different materials behave and how they can be combined for expressive effect. As we focus on the elements of line and color, students will practice training their eyes to truly see—observing shapes, shadows, and details as they draw from life. Through guided exercises and creative prompts, participants will build confidence in their observational skills while developing fun, dynamic compositions on paper. Along the way, they’ll learn foundational techniques, discover new ways to use familiar tools, and enjoy the freedom of making art that reflects their own perspective and imagination.
