Whether you're photographing family moments, documenting your travels, showcasing your artwork, or creating content for your small business, this six-week course will help you create images with confidence and intention.

Through hands-on lessons, you'll learn the fundamentals of digital photography, including camera settings, lighting, composition, and visual storytelling. Each class includes guided practice, followed by a weekly photography assignment that encourages you to apply what you've learned in your own life. The following week, you'll edit your own photographs in class while learning a practical workflow for preparing images for print, social media, or your website.

By the end of the course, you'll understand not only how to take stronger photographs, but also how to edit them to reflect your personal style and communicate your story. Whether you're a beginner looking to move beyond auto mode or a creative entrepreneur wanting more polished images for your brand, you'll leave with the skills and confidence to create photographs you're proud to share.

PARKING AND ARRIVAL

Arts+ Uptown Studios (601 E 5th St): Parking can be accessed via the lot on 5th street (which is a one way street) just past the front entrance of the building. The lot can also be accessed on N Alexander St. The arm for the parking lot will raise as you enter. Parking is free and you do not need a code to enter or exit. If the lot is full, parking can be found on the surrounding streets at meters.

When you enter the building, please sign in at the front desk using the iPads and enter ArtsPlus (Arts+) as the organization you are visiting. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor and make an immediate left.

When you leave, please sign out at the front on the iPads. If you are parked in the parking lot, simply go to the gate and press the green exit button.
