Arts+ is excited to present this opportunity for a jam session for adults of all ability levels. In this one-evening experience, we will become our own "garage band," practicing and playing together. Whether you remember making music in your parents' garage with friends or you just picked up an instrument for the first time last week, we will learn and practice together!

Here is the general flow of this Jam Session:

• Arrive, get settled, and tune your instrument.
• Receive chord charts for the evening's songs from our band leader.
• Do an initial pass through of the songs.
• Spend a little time making those songs ready to perform—just like a band would.
• Learn, help each other out, and make a finished product you can take home and continue to enjoy playing.

Music is meant to be experienced with other people, so this jam session is the perfect way to improve your skills while having fun!

PREREQUISITES  

No specific prerequisites are needed, but it is recommended that you have some general familiarity on your instrument such as knowing a small handful of common chords.  

INSTRUMENTS

• We invite a wide range of instruments for this jam session, such as guitar (electric or acoustic), ukulele, bass guitar, violin, cello, mandolin, banjo, upright bass, and electric keyboard.
• We are unable to set up a drum kit for the jam session, but we do welcome percussion such as cajón, congas, and djembe.
• If you do not have your own instrument, Arts+ will have acoustic guitars and ukuleles available.

BYOB OPTIONAL

This jam session allows attendees 21+ with proper identification to bring their own adult beverage. Beverages are not to be shared with other attendees.
