Summer at Studio

Photo, Film & Visual Arts: Grades 8 - 9

In-Person | JULY 24 - AUG 3

Class Description

During this summer program, students in grades 8-9 get a preview of the various Studio 345 classes that they could later enroll in for the upcoming fall or spring trimesters.

In Photography, students learn studio lighting, photo editing, and camera techniques that will advance their skills as an artist. Taking students out into the street, this course is a chance to learn, in a way anyone can grasp, the basic insights and hidden secrets of photography.

In Filmmaking, students learn how to make their ideas come to life. Whether it's live-action narratives or stop motion claymation, students learn how to write a script, shoot and compose a scene, and edit a film. Studio 345 students use industry-standard equipment and software to develop their skills and become indie filmmakers.

In Visual Art, students fully explore a variety of mixed media mediums from inks including Chinese brushes and dip pen drawing techniques, bookmaking using accordion and hardbacks techniques, and fun contour portraits.
