Leave a Planned Gift, Leave a Legacy

Back to News

Did you know August is National Make-A-Will Month? It's a time to reflect on your legacy and ensure your wishes are documented. One meaningful way to leave a lasting impact is by including Arts+ in your estate plans. With your support, Arts+ can continue to provide high-quality, accessible arts education across Charlotte. An estate gift, or planned gift, not only helps sustain our mission for generations to come—it also ensures your legacy lives on through the transformative power of the arts.

Linda Weisbruch, a longtime supporter of Arts+, shares why she and her husband chose to make a planned gift. “We recently established a donor-advised fund and realized we needed to be more intentional about our support of Arts+ by creating a specific planned gift.” For Linda and many others, planned giving is an attractive option to support arts education in the long-term.

Not only do planned gifts create enduring impact, but they can be beneficial to you and your family. Reduced taxes on income, capital gains, and your estate are all potential benefits of planned giving. Making a planned gift allows you to leave a legacy on the future of arts education.

When you leave a planned gift to Arts+, you become a member of The Bridges Society, named in honor of our founder, Henry Bridges. Becoming a member of the Bridges Society means you are continuing Henry's vision of high quality and accessible arts education. “Our membership in the Bridges Society is especially meaningful given Henry and his wife Daisy’s immense contribution to the arts in Charlotte,” says Linda. “We want to see their legacy continue far into the future.”

Planned giving can be simple, and there are so many ways to give. Additionally, planned gifts are adaptable: they can exist alongside other beneficiaries and can change or be withdrawn at any time. There is no one size fits all for planned giving.

Consider making a planned gift today to support the future of arts education. “We believe the Arts+ mission to assure community access to arts education for everyone is so deserving of our special support.”
