Dream of New Possibilities with ArtsReach Outreach Programs

The ArtsReach outreach program embodies the mission of Arts+ to unleash creativity, transform lives, and build community through outstanding and accessible arts education. It provides free music and visual art programming to thousands of children, seniors, and families at local community centers, Title I schools, and behavioral health centers at absolutely no cost. The students it serves face several barriers to their success, from homelessness to under-resourced schools to emotional and behavioral problems, and ArtsReach offers the opportunity for participants to express themselves creatively and dream of new possibilities.
As a result of the generous support of our donors, ArtsReach impacted over 600 students through music and visual arts education at over 17 different program sites last year. Since July, ArtsReach has already touched the lives of more than 350 participants across various workshops, afterschool programs, and family events.
Caroline Tippette, Director of Visual Art Programs, helps to connect with other organizations to create new partnerships, maintain existing ones, and adjust to the individual needs of each partner organization to make sure our programs respond to the needs of their clients and families. For Caroline, the most impactful aspect of being involved in ArtsReach is bringing art and creativity, and many times a safe space, to those who otherwise might not have access to them. “We allow those we work with the ability to create without judgement and share their stories and experiences through their artwork,” says Tippette.
“Not only do participants get to be creative with as many barriers removed as possible, but once we partner with an organization, we like to do longer-term programs, whether that's once a week, once a month, or several times over the year,” says Tippette.
