Fall Events To Plan For at Arts+

Back to News

Fall is here, and we are so excited to safely welcome the community back to events as we gear up to host recitals, concerts, and various community events. The students are working so hard to showcase all they’ve learned, and we are looking for our Charlotte neighbors to come out and support! So as you plan for pumpkin patches and corn mazes, be sure to add an Arts+ event to your autumn weekend roundup.

October

Intersections: This is Home
Join Arts+ for This is Home to kickoff the second season of Intersections, a spoken word program in conjunction with Studio 345 and local poet and storyteller, Hannah Hasan. Students and alumni of Studio 345 are connected with community leaders and elected officials to swap stories and identify commonalities that connect them. Enjoy performances from past participants and learn more about what's to come in the new year for the program.

The event is free, though registration is required. RSVP here.

Date: Saturday, Oct. 2
Time: 2 - 4 p.m.
Location: Wonderworld West End Studios
Intersections is funded by the Reemprise Fund.

Uptown Farmers Market: Visual Arts + Musical Performances

Arts+ teaching artists will guide kid-friendly activities that also promote health and nutrition. Participants will decorate a small take-home recipe book for families to begin collecting their favorite recipes — new or passed down.

Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Location: Uptown Farmers Market; 300 S. Davidson Street

Fall Suzuki Recitals
In the spirit of Suzuki, the community is invited to embrace and celebrate our Suzuki students as they share their talents and musical accomplishments for the Fall Recital. Hear violin from violin and cello players of varying skill levels. Think you or someone you know may be interested in picking up Suzuki lessons? Click here to learn how.
