WSOC: Arts+ Spring Festival
Arts+ held our Spring Festival on Saturday, April 13 to celebrate the signing of a 50-year lease for the Plaza Presbyterian Church property. This signing is the culmination of our journey to find a dedicated space since before moving out of Spirit Square in September 2021, our home since 1998. The property will house the Arts+ administrative offices and programs as well as function as a community resource for other organizations.
“We’re just really excited to be here, to be part of the neighborhood,” said Devlin McNeil. "Our goal in the next few years is this will be our home, and a home to the community.”
At the festival, community members were invited to listen to musical performances and participate in interactive activities including a drum circle, screen printing, stop motion animation, and collaborative mural painting.
