Angela Stanciauskas

Angela Stanciauskas earned her Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance, and her Certificate in Violin Pedagogy at Lithuanian Academy of Music, Vilnius, Lithuania. She also earned her Suzuki teaching Certification from the School for Strings, New York, NY. Angela started her pedagogical career at elementary and junior high schools and as Assistant Violin Teacher at Vilnius Conservatory of Music in Lithuania before moving to the US.

Angela is the winner of the 1985 Lithuanian National Competition of Young Performers. She is a former member of the Baltic Youth Symphony Orchestra, the International Youth Symphony Orchestra under Dennis Russell Davis (USA), the Stuttgart Bach Academy under Helmut Rilling (Germany), and “Ave Musica” Chamber Orchestra (Lithuania). She has performed in major European concert halls such as Tchajkovskij Conservatory of Music in Moscow and the National Philharmonia in St. Petersburg, Russia, as well as halls in Poland, Germany, Switzerland, and her native Lithuania.
Angela studied Suzuki Violin Pedagogy at the School for Strings, New York, NY, with Louise Behrend. She has been a faculty member at Brooklyn College Preparatory Center for the Performing Arts, Brooklyn, NY and Abrons Arts Center at Henry Street Settlement, New York, NY since 2003 before moving to Charlotte, NC in 2007. She served as a violin instructor at Brooklyn College Prep Center Suzuki Summer Camps from 2004 to 2006. She currently teaches with Arts+ as a Suzuki violin instructor and with the Suzuki Summer Camps since 2010.
