Youth Art Workshop: Comic Book Think Tank

Come join illustrator, Al Bigley and explore the creative drive behind many popular comic and animation characters.

Workshop Description

During this FREE two hour workshop, participants will enjoy learning about Al’s creative process and what it takes to create a career as a commercial artist. Participants will be led through a series of drawing exercises to jump start their own creative intuition and illustration skills.

No prior advanced drawing knowledge is required, but a willingness to try new materials and have fun is strongly encouraged. Our location is conveniently located beside the Sugar Creek Lynx Blue Line station, 1 stop from NoDa.

During this workshop we will seek feedback from participants and parents towards developing a spring series of classes and/or workshops taught by Al Bigley.

Ages: 10 -18 (parents are welcome and encouraged to attend with children

Award-winning illustrator Al Bigley has been working as an in-demand commercial artist since 1990, providing artwork to such clients as: Golden Books, DC Comics, CTW, Disney, Marvel Comics, Saban, Film Roman, Scholastic, McDonald's, Kenner Toys, and many more.
