Culture Blocks: Botanical Journaling (Ages 18+)

January 7 | FREE

Workshop Description

Botany and Art have a long history together in the form of illustrated guides and journals. In this workshop, participants will make a handmade journal to record their observations and thoughts on plants, flowers, and trees. You may be wondering what is possibly out there to document in a journal in the winter. The answer is Lots of Things! Come and explore the possibilities! In addition, you will:

- Learn 2 – 3 journal structures
- Learn quick, easy methods to make images of plants for your journal
- Learn a little bit of basic botany

If you have plant material you have collected, feel free to bring it in. If not, we will have plenty available for you to reference. Also, feel free to bring any personal collage elements you may want to use in your journal. All materials will be supplied.

Since this is a free event with limited capacity please do not sign up if you are unsure of your ability to participate due to schedule issues.
