Adult Group Classes and Workshops

In this 6-week class, students will explore figure drawing and illustration through a narrative lense. Using a variety of materials, students will learn to draw with reference photos, physical objects, and a live model. Over the class, the drawings made will be used as part of a larger storytelling work focusing on comic book techniques and layouts. Students will also build off of previous drawings throughout the class to create final works with tracing paper. Participants can expect to finish this class with an understanding of life drawing skills, strategies for page composition, and techniques to create stories with their works. This class is perfect for those with an interest in comics, storytelling, or desire to learn to draw. No experience required and all supplies included!
