Young Mi Suh

Young Mi Suh has taught piano for over thirty-five years in both South Korea and the United States. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Piano Performance from Ewha Womans University in Seoul, South Korea, and later continued her study of piano performance at the State University of New York in Stony Brook. In South Korea, Young Mi owned numerous music schools, while also working as a piano instructor at each—Ewha Music Academy, Seoul Music Academy, and Ewha Music Studio. She originally taught elementary and middle school students, but later moved to more advanced students, including teaching private piano lessons at the Chungbuk Art High School to high school students planning to become professional pianists. In addition to her extensive experience as a piano instructor for students of all levels, Young Mi has also worked as an accompanist and performer in a number of settings in both South Korea and the United States, including the Chungbuk Piano Concert, Ewha Alumni Concert, and Cantabile Piano Duet Performance.
