Patrick Toggweiler
Patrick has been studying music and playing the piano since he was 18 years old. He was initially going to pursue a visual arts degree with a concentration on portrait artistry. This all changed during his senior year of high school when he attended a beginner’s piano course, and immediately fell in love with the instrument. He began to teach himself by ear, and this undying passion for the piano allowed him to flourish as an artist.
This led him to attend Central Piedmont Community College and Queens University of Charlotte. He has studied under brilliant piano instructors such as Dr. Roxanne Watson and Dr. Paul Nitsch, and now composes music, sings tenor, and plays classical guitar. He has performed a variety of advanced piano repertoire in concert settings, spanning from late romantic and classical, to modern contemporary and jazz. Ensembles Patrick has performed with include Queens University Guitar Ensemble, Choral Union, Royal Singers, and Queens Composition Factory.
When Patrick isn’t playing piano, he enjoys composing, hiking, kayaking, and reading philosophy.
