Lindsey Horne

Lindsey Ryan Horne is a musician and educator born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and was part of the first graduating class of Northwest School of the Arts. She studied vocal performance at Southern Methodist University, received a B.A. in Music and English from Queens University of Charlotte, and went on to receive an MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College in New York. Lindsey is the vocalist and keyboard player for the band Moa, and is currently completing her third solo record of original songs. She was selected for the ARNA Midsummer Music Residency in Harlösa, Sweden, in 2016, and received the North Carolina Arts Council Artist Fellowship in Songwriting in 2017. Lindsey served as Music Director for the Noda School of Arts for seven years, is a Wolf Trap Teaching Artist through the Arts and Science Council, and has proudly served on the piano and voice faculty of Arts+ for over a decade.
