Kimberly Gilbert

Kimberly is the current Melody Choir Director for the Charlotte Youth Choir. She is a North Carolina native from Shelby who has always been involved with singing and participating in choirs. She is a graduate of Wingate University with a degree in music education. Her past teachers include Jenny Cabaness, Michael Martinez, Ginger Wyrick, Dr. Nana Wolfe-Hill, Dr. Jessie Martin, and Dr. Kenney Potter. In addition to CYC, she also teaches elementary music in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Kimberly is passionate about sharing her love of music with students of all ages. When she is not teaching, she sings in the Charlotte Master Chorale. Some of her hobbies are journaling and consuming various media including podcasts, books, and videos. She also loves to visit her two sisters, Katie in Winston Salem and Riley in Lincolnton.
