Jim Hammond

Jim Hammond is a professional educator currently employed full-time as a teacher within the CMS system. Holding a variety of credentials, Jim has taught guitar, chorus, theater, technical theater, and English in public schools. Jim started his own journey with his primary instrument, the guitar, in the fifth grade when his parents urged the adoption of an instrument as a means of rounding out his development. Thanks to that foresight from his family, Jim now believes strongly in the value of music education as a path toward a fulfilled like. Music can and should be an outlet for creativity, love, sadness, and all other manner of emotions. Music is, at its best, wonderfully therapeutic. Mr. Hammond has been married for 20+ years to his college sweetheart and is the proud parent of a teenage son who is a wildly talented drummer and aspiring music producer.
