Jessica Taylor

Jessica Taylor grew up in Greenville, South Carolina, and started Suzuki violin lessons at a very young age. Her love for the violin as well as the viola continued through the years. She earned a Bachelor Degree in viola performance as well as a degree in music education from Samford University. She has been teaching Suzuki violin and viola for 16 years. She was a member of the South Carolina Suzuki Association and she taught in the Suzuki program at Converse College in Spartanburg as well as being a Suzuki instructor at a studio in Greenville, South Carolina. She has taught private violin and viola lessons in Charlotte and Alabama for over a decade. She has also taught general music for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools at Piney Grove Elementary and Albermarle Road Elementary. Through the years, she has performed with the Greenville Symphony, Hendersonville Symphony, Spartanburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Pensacola Symphony and the Charlotte Philharmonic Orchestra. She has completed Suzuki training at the Furman Suzuki Summer Institutes under the instruction of Edward Sprunger and Mary Kay Neal. Jessica has also been involved with our various outreach programs.
